Privacy Policy
This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for Cultivate. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by this website. It will notify you of the following:
- What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the website, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
- What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
- The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
- How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will use your information to respond to you, regarding the reason you contacted us. We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request. Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about Cultivate’s programs or changes to this privacy policy.
Your Access To and Control Over Information
You may opt out of any future contact from us at any time. Mass or template emails may be opted out by clicking on the unsubscribe link from emails you receive from us. We may still contact you directly via email in regard to your involvement with Cultivate, especially for legal reasons such as mandated donation information. If you wish to stop receiving all communications from us, including direct emails from our staff, please contact us to request this removal. You can do the following at any time by contacting us via the email address or phone number given on our website:
- See what data we have about you, if any.
- Change/correct any data we have about you.
- Have us delete any data we have about you.
- Express any concern you have about our use of your data.
- Ask to be removed from all mailings and emails, including direct, personalized email communication
Security
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), the information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only Cultivate board members, employees, or contractors who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment
Non-Discrimination Policy
Cultivate does not and shall not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status in any of its activities or operations. These activities include, but are not limited to, hiring and firing of staff, selection of volunteers and vendors, and provision of services. We are committed to providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for all members of our staff, clients, volunteers, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.

Procedure for complaints: if at any time an employee, volunteer, trainee or supporter of Cultivate experiences or observes discrimination taking place, they can submit a formal complaint in writing to the Board President at board@cultivatetraining.org. Contact information for Cultivate's Board of Directors is listed here. If Cultivate does not acknowledge receipt of the complaint within 30 days and begin addressing the stated discrimination, complaints should also be submitted to the Minnesota Attorney General here.
Conflict of Interest
Cultivate's Board of Directors abide by a conflict-of-interest policy that mandates that all potential conflicts are disclosed and accounted for. This includes conflicts which may compete for the person's responsibility to govern Cultivate well, and their personal or professional responsibilities or goals. This policy mandates that board members disclose on an annual basis any relationships, financial interests, partnerships, or other commitments which may be incompatible with Cultivate's mission, policies, bylaws or best interest. When a conflict exists, other board members are notified and take the conflict into consideration when making governance decisions for the organization.
